  • Self Confidence
    Confidence is needed in all aspects of life.  Through the skills learned, the challenges faced, and the goals achieved, karate builds the confidence to face life's challenges.
  • Self Discipline
    In karate there are many goals to achieve.  Your instructor will teach you the art of karate, but much practice is needed to perform karate.  The student learns self discipline as he/she seeks to achieve these goals.  You will find that this new found discipline cares over into all aspects of life  (such as school, home and work).
  • Self Esteem
    With each class, the student gains confidence and belief in them self and what they can accomplish. Through the many goals achieved and the confidence gained the student of karate will have new found self esteem.  Self esteem is a key factor to accomplishments in all areas of life.
  • Courtesy We teach a tradition form of Japanese Karate.  Courtesy is a very important part of Japanese culture and our Karate.  Courtesy is a requirement in our Dojo.  As courtesy is practiced in class, it becomes a part of the students behavior, and this behavior becomes a way of life for the student in and out of the Dojo.
  • Physical Fitness
    Karate training improves cardiovascular endurance, muscular strength, and flexibility.
  • Improved Flexibility
    Every class involves stretching.  Your flexibility will improve. This prevents injures and will improve your techniques.
  • Increased Strength
    Karate uses every part of your body.  We practice techniques over and over and do many exercise. Karate can put you in the best shape of your life.  Working side by side with other students makes getting strong fun.
  • Improved Focus
    Students learn to ignore distractions, their powers of concentration increase, and vigorous workouts reduce fidgeting.  Studies have shown that Karate is especially helpful to students with attention deficit hyperactive disorder (ADHD).
  • Better Grades
    Parents are often pleasantly surprised by improvements in their children's grades. All of the above contribute this beneficial effect.
